Hasan advises domestic and foreign clients on all areas of IPR protection, patent-oriented R&D, and technological innovation.
He deals with many patent matters, including the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, FTO, infringements, and validity. He has been also involved in patent counseling, particularly in the machinery, automotive, electronics, software, and defense industries.
Hasan is presently providing IP consultancy services to many companies and associates, innovative firms, and R&D departments and regularly give seminars on “patent protection, technological innovation, and R&D strategies”.
He serves as an expert before the Istanbul Specialized IP Courts, as well.
Background and Experience
Hasan has a diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Selcuk University in Konya. His main technical experience is in the areas of machinery, automotive, energy, furniture and automated control. Before entering into the IP profession, he worked as an expert at the production, planning and quality management in the automotive industry.
He entered the patent and trademark profession in 1996. After the first launch of Turkish IP attorneyship as a profession, he passed the exams and qualified as both a patent attorney and a trademark attorney in 1997 and then a European patent attorney in 2001. Before establishing KORDINAT as a founding partner, he held numerous managing positions as head of the patent department, office manager, and managing partner at one of the leading patent firms in Turkey.
Hasan is the author of many articles on the Turkish IP system and a book titled “Innovation & IP Assets”, and has attended numerous seminars as a speaker.
Professional Affiliations
Apart from his membership at European Patent Institute (EPI), he is also a member of some other business and international IP associations such as Chamber of Mechanical Engineers, Entrepreneurial Business Foundation (GIV), Licensing Executive Society (LES), and International Trademark Association (INTA).
